Manaiakalani Film Festival

Manaiakalani 
On Wednesday Saint Patrick's School went to Sylvia Park for the film festival. The film festival was called Manaiakalani. I saw Pt England GI School Glen Brae Schools there. When we sat on the seats some people had the best seats.When the movie started it went dark. When I looked at the big screen I saw a girl talking about Manaiaklani.The first school to show their movie was Saint Patricks, then it went Glenbrae and third was GI School and fourth was Pt England then last was Tamaki College. When it was finished Saint Patrick's School had to find their bus. When we found the bus we went back to school and had lunch then it was home time so we all went home.

THE BROWN BROTHERS

On Friday we went to Assembly there were two step brothers who where telling Saint Patrick's a story about     Sua.

Sua's  sister said he had hurt a person because he had made Sua's sister cry. So the sister said you have to leave Samoa if you dont you are going to go in prison. So Sua left Samoa and he went to a strange
Island called New Zealand when he cheeked his bag he only had five Shirt's and  three pants and only 50 cents. Sua made a warm jumper out of his clothes. When it was night time he slept over the night  then it went morning. He made a house out of woods every morning and every day until he met a women and got married and a family . That's the story of Sua. Even if you have nothing if you work hard you can have lots.

I know this because a need is tell me what a need is. Want is tell me want is want

The chair in the story is for my Mother because it is a want because they can survive without the chair that they  bought and the chair is not for surviving even it is not a. Need it’s only for sitting and doing other stuff.

Flying Planes

Walt estimate and measure in cm and m.

Estimate means take a guess. When we estimate we use information we a (ready  know  then try to guess an answer as close as possible to the correct means measurement.

After we estimate we needs to check to see if our estimation is correct

To learn this we flew our planes.
My estimate was 10 m 45 cm
My plane actually  flew 12 m and 52 cm
My estimate was wrong.

Going to the best Rugby League Lesson

I went to Rugby League. I learnt how to goose step which is how to go slow then fast.
 Score a try is to hold the ball with two hands when you got to the end then tap on to the floor.
A spin witch is run straight then spin.
A side step is witch is run fast then step to the side.
 

Boxing

On Saturday afternoon I went outside because I was bored. I was boxing with my brother

When I punch the boxing bag it felt hard because it was supposed to hard but I liked elbowing because it doesn't’ hurt.

I like punching fast because I can knock out people. Sometimes people be mean to me so my Uncle told me to don't’ be mean back because they might hurt you.

I was practising with my Uncle he said, “punch harder so you can get  to be strong.”

I felt strong and happy.

Olden Day Coin

I found a very old coin when I was ruing six laps around the filed.

 The coin was made in 1969. On the back is a picture of Queen Elizabeth but I thought it looked like a duck.

Mrs Richardson used these coins when she was a little girl.

Making our water tubine

we are learning about hydro power.
Hydro power is the water  gives us energy



We made a water turbine  we add some materials first we got two small paper plates, Empty egg carton  pencil, a stamp or a stapler and five scissors for each Person.Then get two small paper plates and put a hole in it. Then get the sizzors and cut the empty egg carton to make five cups. Next you put the cups on the two plates and stapler it. then put the pencil in.

My Awesome Birthday

My Awesome Birthday

On april 27th I went to the Hall for my Birthday with my family and we danced there.

The first thing I did was dancing. I loved dancing because the music was loud but everyone was happy because they were doing their best moves. Some didn't dance

because they were shy. We listened to wiggle wiggle because thats my favourite song.

When the song finish we ate cake. It was sweet. Everybody wanted some chocolate cake. Some didn't  want some because  they  only wanted  lollies.

After that the music came back on. Then I went to play at the park with my Brother. We played bullrush I was called to run. We started to play I said, “lets play tag.” Folu was in he tagged me but I tagged him back. I was tired so I went back home.

I felt happy because it was cool.

Jam on Toast

4 Butter knife

Method

1. Plug the toaster into the wall
2. Add the bread to the toaster
3. Push the lever down wait for the toast to cook and pop-up
4. Then put it on the plate
5. After that put the jam and the butter
6. Now you can eat

The Olden Day Cottage

The Cool Cottage

In the olden days people called the house a cottage. New Zealand calls it cottage too. We went to visit the cottage that lives in Panmure and opposite a school that is called Saint Patrick's. We went in to look around so we can learn new things.

 Irene and  Josephine showed us around and told us all about the cool stuff in there.I saw a cool vacuum that you pull up and down. We went upstairs to look at the camera. 

Then we went downstairs and then we went back to school and we went back home.

The Lion and the Mouse

The mouse ran into the Lions cave. He woke up the Lion.
The Lion caught the mouse the mouse was very scared. and wanted to be let go.The mouse said  and I will  help you some time.
Then the lion laughed at him because he was so small. Then the mouse ran to his mother.
A few days later the lion got caught next to his cave from a trapper net.
The mouse came to eat the net and the lion was free.

 WhiteBait season

Nathan was sad because last time they only caught one whitebait.

Nathan was happy because his Dad said they are going to catch heaps of whitebait.

Nathan was excited because they caught 32 whitebait.

Nathan stayed with his dad to catch more whitebait.

Nathan felt hungry and he can’t wait to taste the whitebait.

When Nathan went home gave some to the cat He felt giving.

The first day of holidays  I went to my Aunties house with my sister and brother for a movie night. There house was in Mount Wellington we played games.on

On sunday I was excited because my cousin invited  me and my brothers and sister for a movie night sleep over.  

We packed our bags and mum and dad dropped us to my cousin’s house at Mt Wellington.

We had popcorn and pepsi then we watched movies all night.  We all slept in the lounge and watched the big screen.  We watched four movies. The first one was called Real Steel, the second one was High School Music then the other one was called Lovely Bones and Karate Kid.

We had lots of fun.
