It's fun playing on my uncles PlayStation 4!

On Saturday the 26th of November my mum, brother, uncle and I went to Harvey Normans to by my uncle a playstation 4 for his 15th birthday

It was very crowded inside the shop because there were a lot of people there. First my mum asked a man that worked there, " Where are the PlayStation " The man told us to follow him.

When we got there, my mum told his brother to choose one of coloured PlayStation 4 and he picked a white coloured PlayStation 4.

After that we went to the counter to pay for the PlayStation. When we got to the counter my mum, brother, uncle and I bought the console and it cost 457 dollars.

After that my mum, brother, uncle and I went to get some food to eat because we were feeling hungry. We went to McDonald's and ordered four big macs. The burger that I had was very tasty and yummy. Soon after that, we went back home. My uncle was very excited and he couldn't wait to play on his console.

My favourite part was when my uncle got the white PlayStation  because I can't wait to play with him.

That was a long drive!

On Sunday the 19th of November, my aunts, uncle and I went to Spring Hill Corrections Facility at Hampton Down rd, Te kauwhata to see my uncle Sam.

It was a very long drive because it took us three hours to get there.

When we got there, I saw two security guards guarding the door and another two security guards standing on the road leading us to the car parking. All the security guards were armed and wearing protection. They told us to stop because they needed to check us and the car in case we were hiding weapons.

Soon, they told us that we were in the clear so we quickly moved and parked the car. Soon we went inside the building but we had to wait until four o'clock because that was our meeting time.

Soon after four o'clock, a woman came and announced on the microphone, "The four o'clock people, can you please follow this woman to the scanner." So we followed the woman to the scanner and the security guards scanned us to see if we had weapons.

Once the scan had finished, we all walked to another building and sat down at a table. Once we sat down, I saw my uncle walking towards us from another room. I ran to him and gave him a big hug.

Then we sat down and chatted with my uncle. My uncle asked us if we could go to the kids room so that he could have a private conversation with my aunty. When we joined them again, it was time for us to go so we all gave him a big hug.

My favourite part is when giving my uncle hugs a great big hug.

I've got my very first badge!

On Monday after school Folau, Launoa and I went to the Glen brae school hall at Glen Innes. It was very warm inside the hall because the heater was on and it was a big hall. This is where we have been completing our first aid course.

When the Glen Innes S.t John students arrived, we had to wait for Mt Wellington, Meadow-bank and Orakei St. John students to arrive when everyone was there the captain of Mt Wellington St. John told us to quieten down. After that , he yelled out to us and said said " Division stander E " so we all stopped to listen  to him. He said "Eyes front" so we all looked at the front to listen to Joejoe's speech. Division stander E is when we have to stomp our feets together and put our hands behind our back on the same time. Eyes front is an instruction for us to face the front and put your arms down beside your hips with your legs together.

After that she handed out certificates and badges to people who have worked very hard. After that the people got their certificates. The captain of Mt wellington  captain said "Eyes front" we all faced he front and then he shouted to us Division dismissed"

After that my brother, my sister and I went back home with my dad so we can get some sleep for school the next day.

My favourite part was when I got my certificate and my first badge.

Have you had your first Holy Communion lesson?

On Sunday the 22th of May, I went to Holy Communion Lesson at St Patrick’s Church. Our teacher was Mrs Ana Tui.

We learnt about the Mystery of the Holy Trinity which is all about God in three different persons - The Father, The Son and The Holy spirit. After that we had to turn to the person next to us and showed them our work from last week about what happened on Pentecost Sunday when the Holy Spirit descended  upon the disciples and they started speaking in different languages.

Image result for holy communionI turned to Mana and showed my work to her. It was about the disciples gathered together in  a big house waiting for the holy spirit  the suddenly they heard a strange noise and they saw fire resting on their shoulders and they felt frightened. Then it was Mana’s turn to show me her work. Her one was about a very special time in the Bible when the disciples were able to convert people to become followers of Christ. 3000 Christians received the Holy Spirit in one day after Pentecost.

Finally we finished sharing our work with our partners. We sang a song called, “Jesus, in my life I See” and we finished the session with a prayer.

My favourite part was singing the song before home time.

Learning intention: We are learning to write a weekend recount.

Success criteria: I know I can do this when I write a title, followed by the events and then a conclusion of my Holy Communion lesson at church.
