My speech about racism!!!

Do you ever wonder what a world full of racism would be like? I do. I think of how people would judge others for being different, meaning different colour of skin, colour of hair, nationality and religion beliefs. just picture this, everything you do and everywhere you go you're being watched and judged, always on someone's watch and would never be able to feel safe or comfortable.

Racism means someone being treated differently and not being treated equally. Everywhere you go you're being watched thinking you are upto something suspicious or you're hiding something or even thinking you're going to steal or kill someone.
Racism is all around the world, not just in NZ or America, it's all over the place, whereever you go there's always racism.

Racism is strong, they have turned racism into clans killing other people for being different or believing in different things, for example kkk, isis `and black panthers, these clans all have something in common, racism. these clans will go out and kill people or torture them just for being a different coloured skin or believing in something else. Racism is taught to people while they're growing. But the most common racism that still occurs around at this time is being "judged" for who we are and thinking we're going to do something bad.

I'm a polynesian boy but you'll consider me a fob from the islands. I really hate racism, I really do because i don't want to go places and be judged for who I am, No one wants to walk into a shop and having the owner follow you around and pretend they're looking for something, I don't want to go to a restaurant and eat while other people look at you full of hate and have judgemental thoughts, I don't want people to think i'm good at stuff because of the colour of my skin or my nationality, I don't want to go places and have people call me disgusting names, I don't want cops following me and watching me all the time, I don't want people thinking i'm going to rob them or even kill them, i don't want people thinking i'd judge them for who they are, because I know for sure everyone wants to be treated equally and not differently.

I've got my very first badge!

On Monday after school Folau, Launoa and I went to the Glen brae school hall at Glen Innes. It was very warm inside the hall because the heater was on and it was a big hall. This is where we have been completing our first aid course.

When the Glen Innes S.t John students arrived, we had to wait for Mt Wellington, Meadow-bank and Orakei St. John students to arrive when everyone was there the captain of Mt Wellington St. John told us to quieten down. After that , he yelled out to us and said said " Division stander E " so we all stopped to listen  to him. He said "Eyes front" so we all looked at the front to listen to Joejoe's speech. Division stander E is when we have to stomp our feets together and put our hands behind our back on the same time. Eyes front is an instruction for us to face the front and put your arms down beside your hips with your legs together.

After that she handed out certificates and badges to people who have worked very hard. After that the people got their certificates. The captain of Mt wellington  captain said "Eyes front" we all faced he front and then he shouted to us Division dismissed"

After that my brother, my sister and I went back home with my dad so we can get some sleep for school the next day.

My favourite part was when I got my certificate and my first badge.

Learning Intention: We are learning to follow the structure of a recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write the orientation, followed by the events and a conclusion about attending the first aid course with St. John.

Did you know that underwater earthquakes can cause tsunamis?

A tsunami is a giant wave that crashes down buildings and makes a loud noise, Wooosh!.

Image result for tsunamiTsunami usually happens after a strong Earthquake that makes the ground shake. When the tide gets very low it is a warning or a sign that a tsunami might be coming. A tsunami can be very huge as tall as the size of a four storey building and it destroys anything inits way. Tsunami forms when the plates under the water rub each other very hard and that when the tsunami forms.

Some tsunamis can be very deadly because they can kill people and wash away  big buildings. Tsunamis can also wreck and destroy countries.

Learning intention: We are learning to follow the structure of an explanation.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write the title, introduction, effects and a concluding sentence to explain what causes a tsunami.

Have you ever seen a house with a deck before?

On the 9th of July, my family and I moved into our new house.

My family and I were very excited because our new house is big and yellow but our old house was small and blue

After we enter our house, my parents were very happy because there was twelve closets, five bedrooms, two bath rooms, a heater, four doors, a long hall way and a big kitchen built joined with the lounge .When my parents went outside to see the backyard, my parents were very happy because the back yard was enormous and there was a big, peach coloured deck.

The two bathrooms is big and white with a handicapped shower. We also have big, white curtains  in the bathroom.

Image result for deckThe heater is square shaped and it is white and grey.

The bedrooms are enormous and they have white walls each with a closet and light brown curtains.

My family and I each picked a room. I picked a room with my older brother that was very warm and quiet.

After that we drove back to our old house to pick up our clothes and shoes so we can put them in our new closet. Soon the sun went down and it was very dark, so we all went into our rooms and laid on our beds.

It was a lot of fun when we moved into our new house because it is a big and wonderful house.

My favourite part was when we have finally moved into our new house.

Learning Intention:We are learning to follow the structure of a recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write the orientation, followed by the events and a conclusion about moving into my new house.
