I've got my very first badge!

On Monday after school Folau, Launoa and I went to the Glen brae school hall at Glen Innes. It was very warm inside the hall because the heater was on and it was a big hall. This is where we have been completing our first aid course.

When the Glen Innes S.t John students arrived, we had to wait for Mt Wellington, Meadow-bank and Orakei St. John students to arrive when everyone was there the captain of Mt Wellington St. John told us to quieten down. After that , he yelled out to us and said said " Division stander E " so we all stopped to listen  to him. He said "Eyes front" so we all looked at the front to listen to Joejoe's speech. Division stander E is when we have to stomp our feets together and put our hands behind our back on the same time. Eyes front is an instruction for us to face the front and put your arms down beside your hips with your legs together.

After that she handed out certificates and badges to people who have worked very hard. After that the people got their certificates. The captain of Mt wellington  captain said "Eyes front" we all faced he front and then he shouted to us Division dismissed"

After that my brother, my sister and I went back home with my dad so we can get some sleep for school the next day.

My favourite part was when I got my certificate and my first badge.

The Earth's crust is made up of plates. These plates sometimes move. The magma is made out of rock and gases. When two plates hit by accident, one section slides on top of the other and the one beneath is pushed down.

Did you know that underwater earthquakes can cause tsunamis?

A tsunami is a giant wave that crashes down buildings and makes a loud noise, Wooosh!.

Image result for tsunamiTsunami usually happens after a strong Earthquake that makes the ground shake. When the tide gets very low it is a warning or a sign that a tsunami might be coming. A tsunami can be very huge as tall as the size of a four storey building and it destroys anything inits way. Dinocroc is very scary!

Image result for Dinosaur rescue bookIn the of dinosaur rescue a boy called Arg and his pet Krik-Krik went on a hunt with Arg's dad and some cavemen to hunt Dinocrock. Arg and the cavemen went on their boats looking for Dinocrock. All of a sudden, Dinocrock jumped out of the water and broke all the boats except for Arg's. When their boats were smashed into little pieces, all the cavemen swam back to the shore but Arg's dad and Krik-Krik swam to a rock. Dinocrock stuck his head out of the water and went closer and closer to Arg's dad and Krik-Krik.

When Dinocrock was close enough, he opened his mouth wide and Arg jumped onto his back and stabbed him with his spear. Arg's dad and Krik-Krik cheered for Arg because he killed Dinocrock
