My Interpretation
The treaty of Waitangi was signed in 6th of February in 1840 more than 40 Maori chiefs signed the treaty.
Tamati Waka Nene was the one of the Maori chiefs who signed the treaty, the treaty was signed was
signed at Waitangi.

Kawiti Was the first Maori person to sign the treaty. Some of the Maori people didn't
want to sign the treaty because they couldn't understand what they were singing and it wasn't in Maori so
they made a Maori treaty and a English treaty. The Treaty was signed by the Maori chiefs and the British empires.
